Weddings
Siona is available to play at various stages during your wedding day whether you are having a religious wedding ceremony or civil wedding ceremony, for your drinks reception, and for your wedding breakfast meal. The harp suits a variety of venues including churches, castles, country house hotels, gardens and marquees. The sound of the harp is unobtrusive, providing an enchanting background atmosphere, and the instrument itself is also visually stunning and so will add to the grandeur of your day. Siona is happy to perform any music you request from her music list. She will also do her best to accommodate any special requests that are not included, so if she does not already play your song she would be very happy to make a bespoke arrangement for you if it is possible on the harp.
Wedding Ceremonies
The dulcet tones of the harp can create a truly magical moment at your wedding whether you have decided on a church or civil ceremony. A typical wedding ceremony package includes:
- 30 minutes of music before your ceremony as your guests
arrive and take their seats
- Music for the entrance (Processional)
- Music during the signing of the register
(usually around three pieces)
- Departure of the wedding couple and guests (Recessional)
Having a solo singer at your wedding can add something really special to your ceremony. Why not have Siona both sing and play, combining her talents for your special day! Imagine a beautiful Ave Maria performed during your church ceremony, or for something more contemporary, the moving words of Songbird by Eva Cassidy. Although Siona does not sing at the same time as playing the harp, she uses high quality professional backing tracks or can be accompanied by your organist, and she sings repertoire from traditional classical favourites to modern day artists.
Drinks Receptions
Drinks receptions are usually the moment seized upon by photographers to capture your day on film, but this can be a lengthy period for your guests with nothing to do but drink champagne! Beautiful music played on the harp can create a welcoming atmosphere and act as a talking point among guests whilst your presence is required elsewhere.
Siona is happy to select music to suit the mood of the guests, alternatively, you can name specific requests, or even choose a complete set of music from her music list. Siona also welcomes requests from your guests when performing. She can play either indoors or outside depending on the time of year and weather.
Wedding Breakfasts
A combination of musical styles played on the harp can add a very special touch to the meal. The beautiful sound of the harp has the advantage of never being intrusive to conversation whilst its ambient qualities can still be heard over a large party of guests. Siona usually plays a varied selection of light and popular classical pieces, lots of contemporary / pop tunes, favourites from both stage and screen, and a selection of traditional melodies from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Siona can provide music for official openings, launch events, and corporate dinners and functions. Siona can also play a selection of seasonal Christmas music ideal for special Christmas events.
For something a little different, why not have Siona sing for a pre or post dinner concert. She currently offers a varied programme of Opera and Cabaret favourites from Puccini to Gershwin and can provide her own accompanist. Siona has played for companies ranging from Mercedes Benz to Rolex, for charities such as The English Speaking Union, and in venues such as The Ritz Hotel, London.
Funerals and Memorial Services
In ancient times the sound of the harp was said to ease the passage of the departing spirit as it travelled from this world to the next. At a funeral, music can provide a source of great comfort to mourners whilst they gather before a service and disperse at its close. The choice of music may reflect the particular preferences of the deceased or the bereaved, or may be a general selection of sensitive pieces.
Siona is very happy to combine her talents by singing a solo vocal item within the service, for example a traditional Ave Maria, Pie Jesu, or a Panis Angelicus could be a beautiful addition, or a song could reflect more modern tastes if that is more appropriate. Siona's voice could also help to lead hymn singing during this emotional occassion.
